The field 6 test came online last Thursday and quickly took Steam’s ranking. Only two days after the test edition was opened, it has already shown an imaginary level of heat. The test version, open on Saturdays and Sundays without the need to activate the code, is accessible to all players and attracts a large influx of new players, thanks to the fact that the number of online players has risen again while the game is on Steam.
According to SteamDB, the number of online players at the same time reached 52,1079 at the peak of Field 6 and ranked 18th on the Steam History Online List, the largest of the field series of both online players in Steam, and the only top-level FPS game on the list except for CS PUBG and APEX Heroes.

It is important to note that the first generations of the field series were not released on the Steam platform, and that the PC version landed on the EA-owned platform until 2020, when the entire series was online in Steam, so there was a discrepancy between the data in the series on Steam and the actual performance of the game. Nevertheless, the success of this test is undeniable.
Behind the story was the field workshop grinding technical details, with some players claiming that the test version was even better than the official distribution of the two previous generations. The former blizzard exclaimed publicly: “It is more complete than the official version of most 3A games.”
At this point, the question of elephants in that room also arises: “Is there a return of kings? It is probably too early to conclude that there are too many examples of the industry that may encounter Waterloos, from first appearance to official distribution. The tragedy following the sale of Field 2042, when the game had over 150,000 players at the time of the game test, had only 100,000 online players at the time of the official sale, and had fallen to only 3,000 in less than four months, owing to the quality of the game.

Most of all, the old question that bothers all online games. The field 6 test was opened only 24 hours ago, and the anti-fiction front “Secure Boot” has been compromised. On social platforms, video views on the lookout have exceeded 7 million. Secure Boot required the player to be forced to open, and EA claimed that this new technology helped to prevent the launch of malicious software on Windows PC. There is, however, a problem with the need to venture into the BIOS interface debugging for low-assembly players, but the end result is still full of outsiders. Angry players ask in the forum: “Why are the cheaters still running while we are putting the system on the security agreement?”

It is clear that, despite some problems, Field 6 has achieved quite a good deal. When players line up for half an hour long, there are 250,000 people on the line. In particular, given the fact that players who did not participate in the tests are helping them to break their record, Field 6 has surpassed the previous peak of around 350,000 by 870,000 live viewers on Twitch.
The field 6 final stress test, which will take place between 14 and 17 August, is designed to test service loads and repair potential BUG problems, etc., to ensure a smooth experience for players as the game goes online. Field 6 will be officially launched on 6 October 2025 at the PC and the mainframe platform, and please look forward to it.
